Translations

All user visible language in the ui needs to be localized. There are quite a few packages available:

kjetil in ~/U/predi ≠ master> meteor search i18n
Found the following packages:
anti:i18n Internalization: simplest package
anticoders:i18n Internalization: simplest package
chrismbeckett:sugar-i18n UI handlers combining i18n and SugarJS
gwendall:just-i18n Internalization: minimal and best package
janouma:i18n-easy Simple way to handle i18n, including ability to add plurals within translations
leesangwon:mira-i18n Internationalization package supporting date, time and translation
martino:iron-router-i18n Iron Router support for i18n
mrt:i18n A simple i18n package: Call __('...') to translate your message everywhere.
mrt:i18n-easy Simple way to handle i18n, including ability to add plurals within translations
mrt:i18next-meteor i18next repackaged for Meteor
mrt:just-i18n Internalization: minimal and best package
tap:i18n A comprehensive internationalization solution for Meteor
tap:i18n-db Internationalization for Meteor Collections
tap:i18n-ui User interface for the tap-i18n package
txgruppi:simple-i18n A simple Meteor internationalization

We want the language to be selected by the users browser settings with a possibility to override the settings in the UI. Prefered language can be stored in the user account.

In addition to translating the UI, we need all text in the data to be multilingual. This will probably mean replacing all strings with maps translated strings keyed on language codes. The administration interface will need to support entering multiple languages and specify the fallback. We could wither put a list of wanted languages in a configuration file or leave it totally open ended.

To leave time for the actual translations (to be done by one of the German guys) this needs to be finished some time before launch.
